Just cut enough from the top of the bag so that you can still curl it and clip it. Doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing.

You can also just roll the bag down.

Took me most of a lifetime to understand this. Lots of terrible "dream jobs" - good pay awful bosses and no upside for future. Took me 5 years to recognize that my current job is the right one for me.

Heres another free LPT, don't let grime build up on your oven to the point where you need it to be heated to clean it. Jesus christ.

100% agreed. I’m a teacher and while there are other schools I got offers from, I connected better with the admin at lower paying school and took it. I have 0 of the issues teachers talk about on our sub purely because we have a supportive and understanding admin who don’t require a full meeting for something that can be emailed. I’ve told them several times I’ll never leave as long as they’re here. It’s worth it every day

Of all the things to do in the world, out of the 2 you picked... I could actually do one. And that made me oddly proud of myself. Thank you?

Animals poop. And if you are breathing that in, that is damage to your body and house if you ask me. I'm not trying to live with animal poo. Have you ever heard of hantavirus? From breathing in air from mouse poo and pee in your home.

I do my own pest control. I ended up buying cameras to track rodent activity and I trapped and excluded all the active areas.

100%. Your manager has more control and influence over your experience day to day. Any dream company at the end of the day will behave like a corporation that looks out for its interests and not yours. Once you find out how the sausage is made, the luster wears off quick.

Amateur hour here. Build a workspace - cooking supplies and mini fridge to your left, hot plate on table to your left, eating surface in front, two sinks and mini dishwasher to your right. Luckily your seat is a toilet. All done? Recline that bad boy and take a nap. Literally rinse and repeat.

23 seconds per day isn’t very useful though. That probably amounts to around 23 seconds of extra sleep, or getting to work 23 seconds earlier and twiddling your thumbs for that time.
Meanwhile for those 10 minutes you could do a crossword puzzle or something. Watch a fun youtube video.

Reply to comment by Aeneis in LPT: put dishwasher detergent in your dishwasher as soon as you empty the clean dishes and you’ll never have to guess whether not the dishes are clean. If the detergent tray is empty, they’re clean; if it’s full, they’re dirty. by vendetta2115
The dishwasher has a pre-wash cycle exactly for that purpose. The water is hotter, the pressure is higher, and the process more energy efficient than doing it with the sink.
Also, people are clowning on this post because it makes no sense. Remove clean dishes -> ??? -> somehow unsure whether dishes in dishwasher are clean
I'd assume the ??? would be "insert dirty dishes" but then where does the uncertainty come from? If there's dishes in the dishwasher, they're dirty. The only reason there would ever be clean ones is that you just ran it and it's time to empty it. I'm so confused

Oof. Yeah. Had a friend who got her marketing degree and then... got a job as an admin assistant at a certain valuable computer company that rhymes with Snapple. That was a decade ago and she said she really enjoyed working there and wanted to "work her way up". AFAIK she is still an admin. That's her choice to make, of course, but I wonder how many people are blinded by the glitter when there are lots of companies they could be fulfilled at and put their skills to work and be happy at even if they've not got the cachet of "Snapple".
