As a non-American, this sounds quite weird, as 99.9999999% of all buildings ever are concrete. There is a point to consider regarding attic/roof, and maybe basement, so thanks. But hearing stuff from walls is truly alien.

Reply to LPT Request: I am a contractor making $62,400 a year, and the position I am working for pays roughly $90,000 to $100,000, and I know my recruiter probably gets paid the difference. How do I get a higher salary with the same company? by dlonem1
I hear on the news about companies can’t find workers but your using a recruiter? Can you explain why? Thanks

Damn, I just don't know what to do
I've got an internship with a great company and I'm already doing the exact thing I am getting my degree for (working with microgrids and renewables). I've been treated with nothing but respect and understanding despite being the goddamn intern. They pay me well, but for dull timers the pay is average or a bit below. But our health insurance is better than the hospital's, plus vision and dental
However, I don't like the area. It's a super small, college town. I'm 26, almost 27, so I'm hitting an awkward demographic. Too old for the college kids, too young for the rest of the community, which is very family oriented. Great town to raise a family in, but I'm single and don't know if I want kids. My team also works long hours, not something I'm into either as a disabled person.
So yeah, I don't know if I want to stay on. Pros are doing the exact type of work I am getting my degree for, really good team and manager, great benefits, peaceful area. Cons are the lower pay, very small town with nothing to do and hard to meet people my age (so harder to find a spouse), and long hours

Those tasks are out of order, you should definitely trap the raccoon first.

I also used peanut butter in the traps. Maybe these guys knew I was after them.
Are you sure they weren't grey Squirrels? Those guys are dumb and slow but they also don't hoard and nest in dwellings so no need to get rid em.

The ones up here must be the dumbass cousins then. The tipping board over a garbage can of water with peanut butter at the end literally catches multiple a day until my father in law finally caught the ones repeatedly digging into the eaves of his house. He got so tired of bashing their heads in with a shovel and chucking them in the back field.

This is anecdotal, and written like it's a sure thing as opposed to what it may be, a likelihood.
I work for one of the largest tech companies in the world, always was a dream of mine and it's been a dream working here.

Your work is supporting that contractor. Shop for a new one.

Ouch. We had squirrels invade the eaves once. Turns out the former owner's business was removing wild animals that had invaded homes. He found the ingress point and installed a little wire one-way exit-only gate, then patched up the entry point.

Red Squirrels. Cute as hell but fuck those guys. I had to remove hundreds of walnuts from my garage and they just filled it right back up. They are so fast shooting them with a pellet gun is near impossible because they never hold still. They also are apparently too smart for traps.
