I'm sorry I have offended you. I'm sure there are many people who have had awful experiences with doctors dismissing their problems and calling it imagination and whatnot. Maybe you or someone close to you has suffered due to a situation like that, and that is awful and shouldn't happen.

The point I was trying to make was that there is also such a thing as health anxiety, and no amount of clear diagnostic tests can cure it, the only way out is to identify the anxiety and treat that. I'm not disagreeing with OP, I'm just adding this sidenote.

Does such a boss even exist?

I’ve been badly treated by every boss I’ve ever had and I’m so strung out I’m starting to believe even the concept of working is just pain personified. I’m not even kidding

Dream Team/Boss is a much more achievable goal than Dream Company.

I like my boss, he's a decent man who respects my time and skills and understands when something is unreasonable to ask for.

I like my team, they're a great bunch, good humour, no egos. We get on well.

The company? It's an automotive finance company.
It might not be changing the world or challenging my best skills, but it pays well and that's enough.

Due to work pressure I would do a bunch of stress eating of fast food or ordering pizza. Where I found a nice balance was getting some tasty bread -for me it was loaves of asiago bread from Safeway since it was cheap and has a long shelf life if you store it right- and just toss on some simple deli meat and cheese but put it along slices of tomato and cucumber as finger food on the side. The latter two fill you up with nutrition, the former gives you the sodium and fat injection, and it's super quick to put together so you don't feel discouraged to make a "meal."

100%. A good boss is so under appreciated. They can make a shitty job great or they can make a great job shitty. If you have a good boss make sure you let him/her know because it’ll go a long way.

I understood what OP was saying...I was confused how to do so but This link OP provided , explains that if the employer chooses to do so, they can set up a "Post-App follow up question". This is not skirting the process if the employer enabled this response on Indeed.
