I get not doing this to strangers/ coworkers, but do you all really have such limited relationships with your friends that you can't discuss inportant aspects of each others lives?

Reply to comment by Damas_gratis in LPT Request How can I learn to drive? by Damas_gratis
Wide open spaces and empty private roads are good to learn on. If you're learning on a stick shift, dirt roads are better since the tires will slip a bit and help you to keep the engine from stalling.
Focus on being smooth and alert
The toughest part about driving is learning to share the road with others. From what I've seen, hospitals are in crowded areas. The only way to learn to deal with traffic is study and practice
If you're interested in going legit and becoming more familiar with the rules of the road, go to your local Department of Licensing, get a free copy of the driver's manual, study it cover- to- cover. Have someone quiz you on the contents of the book. You can test your knowledge in a lot of places with practice tests from your state's DOL

Actually got asked once: “But if you don’t want kids, then why did you get married??”
Uh…”B-because we love each other and want to build a life together. Isn’t that why you got married?”
Smh.

I agree 100%
There are so many reasons for not wanting children, many of them are personal health reasons that people do not want to discuss with others. It is often hard to deal with this personally and having others question you about it can be very hard.
My Uncle and his wife decided to not have children due to a large chance of severe genetic issues. I have known a few people that will remain childless, I don't know why, it's none of my business if they are not sharing.
Excellent LPT:

I've always known I didn't want kids. My parents and friends both know I don't want any. It's other people that don't believe me when it's brought up.

"According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture , a single medjool date contains 66.5 calories and provides: 18 grams (g) of carbohydrates. 16g of sugars (mainly in the forms of glucose and fructose)"
By comparison, a full-size Hershey bar has 24g of sugar. So if you're craving sugar, yes, dates have quite a bit of sugar.

Reply to LPT Request - How can I stop my wound from merging with the fibers of a gauze or bandaid? by wt_foxtort
Choose a non-adhesive dressing: Instead of using a traditional gauze or bandaid, consider using a non-adhesive dressing that won't stick to your wound. Silicone or foam dressings are good options that won't cause additional trauma when removing them.
Use a non-stick gauze: If you need to use a traditional gauze, look for one that is non-stick. These dressings have a special coating that prevents them from sticking to the wound.
Apply a barrier cream: Applying a thin layer of barrier cream or ointment, such as petroleum jelly or zinc oxide, can help create a protective layer between the wound and the dressing, preventing it from sticking.
Wet the dressing: Wetting the gauze or bandaid slightly before applying it to the wound can help prevent it from sticking. Just be sure to wring out any excess water before applying the dressing.
Change the dressing regularly: Changing the dressing regularly, at least once a day, can help prevent it from sticking to the wound. If the dressing is stuck to the wound, soak it in warm water to loosen it before removing it.

People are jelly and want others to have to do what they did. That's why.

Reply to LPT: When you’re traveling, don’t bring all of your charging cords individually. Get a surge protector and plug them all in to that, and plug the SP into the outlet at your destination. Saves a lot of annoyance trying to find an outlet for each cord around the room. by [deleted]
This is a bad idea! Most US surge protectors have a fuse that blows when provided 220V. The adapter most people have only changes the shape of the plug, not the voltage. A 3-way splitter cable usually doesn't have a fuse and can carry 220V. But the surge protector strip blew the fuse in the house every time I plugged it in.

Some places (cruise ships) don’t allow you to use your own possible fire starter.

I USED to think this, then realized if you put the tag at the open end, then both the tag and floppy extra or exposed pillow are at same end and you keep closed cased side near face instead (if tag there can still feel it through case)

So is underinsured/uninsured motorist coverage better than comprehensive and collision? Or is that only if there is a tort limit? And where can I find such tort limit information. . . Sorry I have GEICO

That’s what inspired this post! I stayed with a friend for a week and his pillows were not this way. I fixed the problem myself after sleeping one night with a tag in my face.

I guess it depends on how much bulk you buy. I'm actually canceling my membership when it comes time to renew. I just don't use it enough to justify it.
Edit: Even the gas is only pennies cheaper than everywhere around it and just not worth sitting in those long lines. Maybe- MAYBE- if you catch it when there is only one or two cars in front of you, but otherwise, nope.

Spenco 2nd skin pads are the answer. Best product on the market and helps any cut, gash, burn you name it heal fast and not stick to bandages.
