I’d love to have that crispy crust too, but unfortunately the simplicity of a microwave and a few presses of a button does the job for me. Equally, the same for an air-fryer, but of course crispier than results from a microwave.

Oof, you got me there. I warm up pizza in the oven at 375 or on a griddle on the stove with aluminum foil tent over the top. When I microwaved leftover pizza, the crust got too chewy and soft for me. I like my pizza with a crispy crust.

Microwaves are good for stale bagels though. A few seconds in the microwave softens a stale bagel enough for me to slice it in half.

Is it just me or does it feel wrong to cheat on your barber.

With our two rescues, they wanted to know we had a vet appointment set up ASAP. Adoption was pending verification of the appointment.

Fortunately, the dogs had been well cared for through the rescue. No surprises...except one of our dogs is probably a fair bit older than the rescue thought. It was fine because I don't mind senior dogs. He's the sweetest baby!

I grew up in an ag town in Kansas. I went to public school, public university and have worked my ass off since I was 14

I’m a recovering alcoholic that nearly drank myself to death because of my career.

I am me and that’s it.

I don’t care whether someone started beneath me above me or the same as me. We all have to do it…it’s easier for some than others, that’s a fact of life.

Why would you try to discount the advice I’m giving?

Edit: I'm not saying you can't challenge me, again, I welcome that, but to make huge assumptions because "maybe you didn't consider you have an easier life than others" is such a simple way of looking at it....this isn't "get rich with these three easy steps", this is, "hey, you probably have some positive opportunities even in a bad situation, explore those options"

And please don’t quote the bootstraps thing to me…that isn’t even close to what I’m saying. I’m saying, we all have the same amount of time on this earth…instead of saying, I can’t do this because XYZ, think positively

Actually many USPS PO boxes CAN get packages from other carriers - you just can't use the standard addressing scheme.

You started somewhere, and it was probably a more advantageous position than most. You are born into a family with an economic class. Higher economic class = more property taxes = better funded schools. Living in a nicer area provides better work opportunities. Your connections were influenced by where you lived and where you went to school. You probably didn't have parents working multiple jobs. Maybe you got financial help with college. There are a lot of things people take for granted when creating their "self-made" narrative. Nobody is self-made. This is a good read on the subject. You may be a victim of the fundamental attribution error.

As who does hair, I would have been overjoyed for someone to bring me all those photos. I’ll ask people if they have inspiration photos and they look at me like I’ve grown a third head.

If you can, it's worth it to get a mailbox at UPS/FedEx/similar places. They can accept packages from other carriers (USPS po boxes won't do this), and your mail will be safe.

I second this. I've started using an app to track what I eat, and it's been eye-opening where my problem areas were- I didn't know just how much I snacked, and I really didn't pay attention to serving sizes.

Not one hairdresser has ever cut me well no matter what I did. Seems like they don’t know how to handle curly hair. Been cutting my own hair for 5 yrs now and it is the best decision I ever made.
