Yeah, I work 7-3 (often 7-2:30 with shorter lunch)

I do almost categorically just not attend any after 3 - manager is fine with it so all good on that front.

Always make sure to claim the time back though - need to be flexible to a degree and get the same flex back

I tend to cave and shuffle my lunch for the mid day ones sometimes to the point where it ends up essentially nonexistent, which is a bit shit - need to push back more strongly on these sometimes

I would take a picture after two weeks because that's when I enjoy my cut the best. Every new barber I go to manages to take off double the amount I tell them, so that'll at least get me back to the previous week, which I can live with.

I feel like the only reason they ask is because misery loves company. Look, children are nice and fun, but there are many moments where they are just too frustrating, especially when you are not ready. It seems that they ask because they have someone to vent about their kids.

I adopted a cat from a shelter and they didn’t disclose the cat had Feline Leukemia Virus (a very aggressive virus that transmits to cats and similar animals via nasal droplets. Like a mix of Covid and HIV for your kitty). Brought her home and was met by my and my then-gf’s other three cats. All four of them were dead within a couple years.

Shelter did not take responsibility, denied the cat I adopted had it when she was at the shelter. No payout, gf broke up with me because according to her, I indirectly killed her babies

Ok. If you quit we need to adjust the number of hours for the calculation. PTO is meant to be used. Most workers will not have excess PTO. Health insurance benefits can not be used for rent. It is NOT income. You do not pay taxes on health insurance paid by your employer(except for a couple of cases like a domestic partner). 2000 gives you a reasonable, if not exact, number for the yearly income. Being conservative is important for anyone who doesn’t have the PTO benefits and is taking 2 weeks unpaid leave for sickness. All of this is for the US.
