Your hamstrings are tight. Not sure what you do for a living, but try to sit less and stretch more. Many good options already listed. Yoga is great, but for me pilates really taught me how to properly engage my core as I move through the world. G'luck!!

Just my 2 cents, but I had some kind of sciatica/lower back pain for 4 years, and the pain went away after I started doing reverse hyper-extension and pull ups (overhand grip).

I mean, being the butt of a joke is kinda different than someone just forgetting.

It can also substantially cut down on wait times. Just walk up to the taxi area and go.

Have taxi's gotten better? The last time I was in one, granted it was several years ago, it was shitty. Smelled like piss, the driver drove erratic, he smelled, and the car was in bad shape. At least with uber, you can review your driver. That's not a choice with Taxis.

Lot of advice here on the physical side of things but do give some weight to your emotional/mental state as well. A lot of people who let stress and negative emotions go unchecked can have them manifest themselves into very real back pain.

There was a girl in my Spanish class in hs that did that to her mom. She thought it was hilarious. Then she actually got pregnant later on purpose in some kind of attempt to keep her boyfriend from going to jail (idk either man, she was p dumb) and nobody believed her for a really long time.
Her mom got custody of the baby, so happy ending ig.

This. I do yoga stretches almost daily and it helps, along with better posture and more standing during my work day.

I'm not sure which is more confusing: that a 36 year old thought this was appropriate for a workplace environment, or that he even found it funny in the first place. Props to you for showing him the door.

Let’s remember that this is a quick estimate of yearly income. If you are considering jobs, then you should go into the details. Compare benefits, and whether the job offers PTO. I think we can both agree, that if we want a detailed report of income and benefits that OP’s formula isn’t good enough. As a quick head estimate for conversation and comparison it is certainly good enough.

Took a while for the cab industry to adjust and figure out how to survive, but they did it!

This is true especially after pandemic and with "peak hour" pricing by ride share services.

We got so used to summon a cab with an app and forget other options. Thanks for reminding us.

The biggest thing is stretching your hamstrings. Other than that, what worked for me was rolling a lacrosse ball wedged between my back and the wall. After like 4 days of doing this for about ten minutes, no more pain. Every once in awhile I'll aggravate it again, and start the process over. I'm general, lift with your legs, try not to bend over at the waist when lifting things.

If it's only funny when it's not aimed at you, it's not funny.

Look up stretches and excersies as well as make sure you're walking.
However if the pain persists go see a doctor

A heating pad at bedtime relieves some of my pain, but stretching and alternating between sitting and standing during the day helps as well. I usually go monthly to both massage therapy and a chiropractor.

It probably depends on where you are; but my experience with Uber and Lyft everywhere I’ve travelled has steadily gotten worse: price hikes, car smells like weed or cigarette smoke, driver is rude… I’d rather pay for a regulated industry ride that at least pays minimum wage to their drivers.
