Once I told my mom I broke one of her coffee mugs and then brought it to her with fake cracks drawn on with dry erase marker, was that too mean? I don't remember if she laughed or not

I did this and it really helped. I seem to really hate the strong mint stuff. I got the strawberry spiderman and mix it with a black licorice toothpaste from amazon. It is very good. Feels very cleansing. I've finally been getting compliments from my dentist at age 40 after years of being neglectful.

My Linux based PCs shut down so fast there's not enough time for that.

Holding the power button to power off takes 4 seconds, Linux shuts down in about 2.5 seconds, with the rare time when a stop task has to run longer.

Bootup of the kernel is under 0.5 seconds, to the login in 3 seconds (most of that time waiting for the screen resolution to switch), from login to a fully loaded system is above 1.5 seconds.

Windows is just slow and terrible, as it always has been.

Yes, some people probably will always want a newer car. But even if you do an extreme example of a car wash every week ($15x52 weeks = $780 per year) that’s less than 1-2 monthly payments(average $716/month for a new car, $526/month used), not counting taxes and registration, higher insurance, etc.

It's not confusing in the slightest once you really think about it. Simply put, to people like that, women are objects, not human beings deserving of basic dignity. He frankly didn't care if it was appropriate because he lives in a culture where misogyny is the standard and he's upholding it by shaming a woman for appearing to have a normal bodily function. He isn't the exception. He's the rule.

Stretching my hip flexor muscles has greatly improved my quality of life. If you sit or stand alot these will help for sure.

Diaphragmatic breathing has also made a difference, but much less dramatic than the Hip Flexor stretch for my back, but immediate improvement in respiratory function.

I have also experienced relief in low to mid back pain by incorporating standing decompression into my daily routine. For this I have built a stand that allows me to support my bodyweight with my elbows this allows me to suspend by my elbows and gently work range of motion to loosen lower back as well as hip and pelvis joints.

Source: double herniation lumbar/sacrum. 20 year injury. Not a doctor or physical therapist, but i have had alot of interaction with them as well as Chiropractic therapy.

A good prank results in momentary confusion and/or mild inconvenience. Lying about pregnancies and deaths, damaging property, fucking with people's food, etc is just harassment and abuse. I have zero tolerance for this shit after losing a friend to suicide the night before April Fool's and not knowing for hours if it was true or a "prank."

No one buys a new car just because it’s dirty, the whole auto advertising industry is based off making you feel like you need a newer better car whether you do or not. Lots of people buy new cars because they think it’s cheaper than maintaining their old one, or to save a little on gas, but then pay a bunch on financing, taxes, etc without doing the math correctly.

Not gonna work. Sure, the desktop is still there, some apps as well, but the OS already send a "sigterm" signal to many programs and they will shutdown even if the operating system is still "running".

This will make it really hard to continue to use the computer since you need those programs running in the background.
