Moved here in 1987 from Illinois 13 miles west of Chicago ,I was 14. Been here for 35 years. When people ask where I’m from I use to say Chicago originally but I’ve been here awhile. The last few years though I’ve felt like I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else then Maine , the East Coast in general so when people have asked lately I’ve said I’m from Maine. My question is after 35 years , would I be considered an East Coaster or a Midwesterner still?
