If your own business is not doing well, you might consider seeking a job at a local business or even Hannaford or Walmart. Virtually everyone is hiring right now. Adding to your debt load only makes a bad situation worse.

Washington County has a bunch of stone statues along the coast from eastport, cutler, machiasport, jonesport, addison and millbridge and I think there's a few I'm missing. My sister wants to go see all of them and I kinda want to as well. We have seen 3 and that's it.

Another one is up in the county up north from Presque Isle to Houlton there's a bunch of planets to see along Route 1 and we tried stopping to them but missed 2 and wanna try to do it again.

It's a problem in other cities as well, not just Augusta. A lot of Maine post offices are short-staffed and have generally been suffering over the past several months.

The best thing you can do is use USPS's Informed Delivery service. It'll tell you what mail is coming on each day. The only problem is that sometimes we'll see what mail is coming and it'll come a day or two later, but a lot of it is junk and shit. Still, it's a good tool to keep tabs on your mail. Easy to sign up, too.

That's a pretty low bar for "evil"... I guess we really are "post-truth" where everyone's feelings trump reality...

All utilities have multi-year maintenance schedules and limited resources. Can you imagine if they had to push their maintenance schedule for EVERY layperson homeowner who called in with a "totally definitely serious and immediately urgent concern"? There are branches on lines fucking everywhere and only a small percentage of those lead to outages, and an even smaller percentage to bodily harm.

What's your hypothesis here? You think the people they hire don't know what their doing or how to assess risk as well as you? Do you think the company WANTS outages and infrastructure damage they will need to pay for? Or do you think they just get off on the thought of YOU being in the dark for a few hours?

Get over yourself...
