My stepmom does this as well. My mom built her a shelf that wraps around the kitchen and dining room. I had no idea she was into it and when they came out here to visit, I kept hearing let's go to Starbucks all the time. It made me upset to think they traveled all this way to be stuck on Seattle-based products because....we're all from Seattle and they wanted to see the east coast. They can do them but I'm playing tour guide and being asked where is Starbucks, not on my radar of a place to visit?

I asked in a joking but serious way what was up with Starbucks all of a sudden. Then my mom in a tone I'm very familiar with mentions her wife's newfound "hobby". I didn't ask or feel anything else after that other than, let's get you your fix you junky. We made it down to R.I ffs and we will NEVER hear the end of it about Connecticut.

Should mention, she only collects from the states she has visited.

Shop around. I got at huge rate decrease by switching to Progressive last fall, but I also heard from a friend that their Progressive rate went way up. I fully expect a big rate jump on my next renewal, so I'm going to preprare to shop around again.

I get the variables that water pollution or the air quality aspect is a scientific measurement with not much debate as to what the numbers give. The social variables are questionable in how they were measured. That social involvement is a funny one to me that prompts more debate as to what that entails than say....air pollution.

There are a bunch of consignment shops that will rent you a table and take a percentage. It’s not bad, but you need to price yourself correctly or you lose money quick. After that, I’ll hit the big festivals or just a roadside stand.

I make ultra plush ultralight bags. There’s a custom fit, frame and padding, 45-60L, external pockets and I still come under 1.5lbs. I can make them down to about 3/4lb, but that’s not where I shine.
