I suspect that help and support is being offered but the person in question is unable or unwilling to accept help. I have seen it many times. And I have personal experience with such situations.

Sadly, I've seen it. There's a stigma with mental illness that needs to die out. Too many people see it as a defect or weakness or shameful, which translates into not knowing how to be a good friend/family member.

We need to end the stigma and educate.

I’m happy for you that you have a healthy group of friends, but it’s sad to see people have public meltdowns and everybody’s advice is to turn away. I’m not talking about my friends. I’m talking about stuff I see happening in the community.

Or the people that you associate with.

I don't know of a single person that doesn't support the mental health of their friends.

Probably has a lot to do with some pseudo-Puritanical ideal of independence combined with years and years of family trauma and psychological abuse.

Yeah they offer personal training and group classes. Sorry, I haven't tried either though, I just did my own thing so I can't vouch for anything beyond the gym environment and equipment which are great.

Well deserved! Everything my wife and I have had is awesome there, the spicy chicken sandwich in particular is insanely good.
