I'm a really outdoorsy person. It is mostly farm land on the eastern side of ND where I live. West side is a bit better because we have Roosevelt national park. Maine is just a state im considering moving to because it seems quiet and its close to the ocean. I'll definitely visit before I make my decision.

If your employer doesn't offer insurance, the whole point of the federal exchange is to be able to compare plan benefits and costs without having to call every company. You punch in your info, it will determine subsidies, and give you options and prices.

It will be a big challenge. Maine has a dearth of providers for kids with intellectual disability, especially in rural areas. Some of her medical conditions, which I assume require specialist care, are almost certainly going to require trips to Portland or Boston for management. I would also worry about access to emergency care that is equipped to deal with a kid with these needs. Aside from all that, it may be hard to access services in the school system. I would think really hard about this move.
