It's what houses cost in Southern Maine right now. These are on the lower end of pricing too.

Except that Maine has its own exchange now. coverme.gov. Check it out but seconding recommendations to get help from Consumers for Affordable Health, or from a local broker. There are three companies but many plans and they can help cut through the confusion, make it less stressful, and get you the best plan for you.

For night mode, if you set it on the longest (10sec) and set the exposure to the highest you’ll have to stand still but they’ll come out better

This is the only accurate response in this thread. Unfortunately Healthcare in the US is broken and the first step in fixing it is education- it’s too confusing for people to understand unless they are in the insurance industry. Listen to this response- work with someone that will review all options and provide you with recommendations- at no cost you.

Florida guy here.
When the hurricanes come, the wind is strong!
The thin and narrow trees bend with the winds and drop their leaves.
The strong, hard trees snap off branches, or become uprooted by the winds and die.
Remaining flexible ensures a long life. The palms do well here.

Professional massage therapists don't give happy endings. That's an insult to the profession. It's also illegal- not that it should be, but it is.

Looks very much like a section of the street where they live. When I saw Caribou I was .. whew! Which is also awful. To be relieved it isn’t you or someone you know. Poor people!

Consumers for Affordable Healthcare is an amazing non profit Maine based resource that excels at advising people through transitions like these. It's worth noting that depending on how much your income is set to increase, your child may be eligible for CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) which may provide a low cost option.

Maine Medical in Portland is the only level 1 trauma center in the state. This is the highest level of care a hospital can provide. If the child is requiring an admission to a pediatric intensive care unit(PICU), your local hospital is very likely to try and transfer you there. PICU beds have been tight all over the country, but frequently Maine Med is the last open PICU bed in New England. The hospital might not have room to accept the transfer. This could lead to potentially not getting the care the child needs from specialists rural hospitals do not have. If I had a medically complex child I would want to make sure I lived within driving distance from a large higher level of care center such as Maine Med in Portland.

Not sure inserting one extra letter is a “big fuck up”. You aren’t the first to post about Arcadia National Park.

If you qualified for Maine care as a family of 3 and are now over the limit then unless you doubled your income (hopefully that's the case) then you are going to be SoL for affording outside insurance.
