Maine's counties don't have the administrative capacity to run things at that level; what happens in reality is that the state takes over. So far as municipal consolidation goes, even Paul LePage recognized that our many small towns are a key component of our high tax burden, but suggesting consolidations would be met with about the same reaction as putting a big sign in Kittery that read, "Eat Massachusetts Lobster! "

Bright Built if you can get them to respond! Burnham & Lobozzo make great homes too. We bought a used home (unfortunately didn’t have the time to wait for a new build with a kid) but I work with both builders regularly (for work) and their customers seem to be quite happy with them both.

The best way to compare efficiencies is via the Energy Star ratings. Those tests are done under carefully controlled conditions. Anecdotal remarks from Joe Homeowner are not going to tell you anything since there is no real way to do a perfect comparison due to changes in heating needs from one winter to the next, changes in electric rates, other differences in the exact models, etc.

And your views are myopic. The USPS' issues and those of other government agencies (the VA, the DoD, etc.) have existed far beyond Trump's four years in office, give me a break. The bloat, mismanagement, waste, inefficiency, outdated systems, have all been the status quo for years, and comes with the territory of being a government run entity. The problems will only get worse until the old farts in charge either die off or embrace modernity. Average people will be the ones who suffer for it, until then.

It literally ranks #43 in education in the US.

And I know nothing about race percentages in most of the states; I was under the impression Mississippi was mostly white. But go ahead, call me racist. Lmao

So touchy about a fuckin joke. As if no one else says states are stupid.

Fun fact, there was a loophole that allowed this (and oral) in Maine until the mid/late 90s. Downtown Bangor, before it’s “revitalization” had numerous massage parlors openly offering happy endings (or so I’ve been told, I arrived in the Bangor area in 1998 as an 18 year old college freshman living in Orono and as far as I know the only sketchy thing left in downtown Bangor was Diva’s gentleman’s club). There was a BDN article about this in relation to the downtown revival
