Land was not included in that rate… crazy. I mean I’m definitely not going to pay $500/sqft unless I want to live in an immaculately built shed.

I got pulled aside once for a couple of Reeces cups, so yeah. But that was a different airport.
Personally, I'd be wary of bringing federally illegal stuff onto federal property, and just buy stuff when you get there. The risk to reward ratio seems off, but I'm very risk averse.

I worked at a combo oriellys and vip - nobody I worked with that didn’t do their own work went to vip. I’d used them a few times with no issue but they are def trained to upsell for things that don’t super need fixing.

There is unequivocally zero risk to flying with CBD. You could walk up to a TSA agent and offer them one of your CBD peanut butter crackers and there would be a bigger risk of getting in trouble for endangering someone with peanut allergies than getting in trouble for the CBD.

Probably. I know geothermal systems are always ducted and air source ducted systems are less common in colder climates due to being less efficient.

Unfortunately farming isn't really flexible. Things need to happen based on weather, and growth.

Aroostook and Washington counties both have really poor access to medical services. That's been true for a long time, but it's gotten significantly worse due to COVID-related burnout driving people out of medical professions.

i think they mean their heat pump uses air ducts to direct the airflow to to registers in each room as opposed to having a ductless system like a mini-split.

That sounds like the land is playing into it or you're looking at high end. 500$ a sq/ft is pretty fucking high, at that rate I'd like to offer my self up as a GC

Not really, one of my realtor buddies is building way up north at 250$ sq/ft. Construction prices are inflated with everything else. The bids I got for home repairs 5 years ago vs now are 3x for the same job.

I've been within the last few months. They have a bar (staffed by volunteers) and free pool tables, which is worth stopping by for a few beers and a couple games, and to throw some money in the donation bin.
It definitely feels more like a community center or "public house" than the straight-ahead business it used to be, but I don't think that's a bad thing.

I went to community college for Computer Systems Technology at EMCC in Bangor(didn’t want to pursue 4 years afterwards) and their program was really solid honestly. I believe they recently got a fat grant to upgrade their program further as well. Keep in mind I graduated 3 years ago and am not sure how it is these days!
As a couple other people on here though, I would recommend doing gen eds and such at community college as they’re the same credits at a much cheaper credit hour cost. Just make sure they transfer to your school of choice! :)

Yikes, evidently there are news reports of people smuggling things in jars of PN butter. They treat a jar of PB just like they would treat a jar of any liquid. They investigate it. I'm only talking a few crackers in a plastic snack bag.

My friend didn't believe this. But it's usually 57. Occasionally up to 60 if we feel cold. Downstairs without bedrooms is drop it to 45 at night. I once dropped it lower and had pipes freeze from a draft. But honestly 57 feels pretty comfortable with tee shirts.

Below 65, doesn’t go above that unless there’s company coming over and staying for more than a half hour or so.

I leave my thermostat set around the 64-65 mark, it never changes. Winter bumming around the house clothing is a tshirt, hoodie and sweatpants. I would prefer the year round temp always be 64-65 degrees, so I’m comfortable. Now, the cats and dogs? They would probably set it to 80 if they had thumbs and could reach it. I have forced hot air and the cats take turns being North American Vent Hogs all day and night.

I have the thermostat set to 65 all the time, but my main source of heat is a pellet stove, so when I’m home it’s usually 70-72 in the house. I shut the pellet stove down when I work and am not home. Used about 1/4 tank of oil so far this winter most likely because it’s been unseasonably warm. Feeling like this Friday-Saturday the stove will be struggling to keep the house at 65

In the article it mentions the former owners didn’t not maintain the equipment the way they should have, though it did not mention the child molestation. 🤮
