I finished a travel contract at Maine Med, $5k week. Maine pays nurses like crap. At least 75% of the hospital was travel nurses. Maines nurses travel between Portland and New Hampshire because the pay is 10 yrs behind other states.

Roads are expensive. So much digging and fill and I think there needs to be a bridge there too

Having worked in several, the issue is the companies that run them.. they run a skeleton staff on purpose and underpay everyone so they can pocket the lion's share of the income while providing only the most basic service (and sometimes not even that).

I know right? That's like the cost of 43 condos on The East End.

All interstate exits correspond to mile markers now, so whatever this will be will not waste any older signage.

I second this, I have 2-3 of them from when my furnace was acting up one winter. I put one in the bedrooms and one in the living room. They work amazing but take a couple of hours to really heat the room.
Now I have a pellet stove and only drag them out in emergency cases.

So is this going to be, what exit 33 or 32b or something like that? Or are we going to waste money making all new signs to rename all exits after this?
(My numbers could be off. To be quite honest, when I'm on the highway I'm just searching for my spot to get off so I can not be so damn anxious. I hate the highway, hate it 100x more between Portland and kennebunk)

Probably, or a parking volume maximization issue. They could make it easier to navigate, but lose 25-30 prime spaces...it's in the math.

It’s not the heater it’s the electric bill you have to worry about.

> raise the entire area with the painted cross hatch lines
can't do that because of the corridor ADA requirements from the handicapped spaces. walmart has a team of civil engineers and lawyers dedicated to their parking lot layouts. every sign and line is specified down to the inch.

Maine just needs to pay their nurses. I make $20/hr more in Texas as a staff nurse than Maine nurses with the same experience.
