Thanks, we considered that! But between changing from North to South Station in Boston, and then getting 10 people plus luggage from 42nd St to Brooklyn, we felt that driving together would be a better fit for this trip.

Already claimed my asshole status. I ignored what you said because despite apparently thinking it makes you sound worldly and enlightened, your takes on race and community are so far outside my own perspective that I really don’t have much to say about it.
I’m glad your neighbors like you. I’m glad you have joy in your life. You’re pretty miserable in an online anonymous forum, and if your friends saw the things you were saying they might want to have a chat, but dafuck does THIS asshole know?
I do know that I offered an olive branch, multiple times, and you took each as an opportunity to shit all over them, this state, this sub, and anything else you see as not worthy.
If you meet an asshole in the morning, fuck that asshole. If you meet assholes all day, chances are it’s not them.

For sure would be more fun, but that would be even more of a parking headache in the city than a 12-person van. 😂

Clearly you have some terrible reading comprehension skills. Again:
>I never said they can't do it. I said they don't do it well
What part of this don't you understand exactly? It's pretty fucking clear, pal.
Also, racism against white people isn't a thing. You can pretend that it is, but it's not.
https://www.aclrc.com/myth-of-reverse-racism
Also, see: https://www.issuesonline.co.uk/articles/can-white-people-experience-racism
If you think that I'm wrong, you're probably the racist. But you know, this being Maine and all..... I can't say I'd be surprised. Disappointed, but not surprised.

I'm not a lawyer but I don't see how anyone could possibly construe this as a landlord/tenant arrangement. I think you are overcomplicating things with your "eviction". Just put her items in a closet and if/when she wants them back make arrangements.

Rent an Rv! Way more fun, comfy, and has on board toilet.

My neighbors and I get along just fine. In fact, they are wonderful people and we all hang out together. I love the way you totally ignored everything I said, which makes you an asshole.

I did not charge rent and we had a verbal conditional arrangement for her to stay a max of one year. This was amended to she needs to be out by April first. I drafted an eviction notice today to cover my ass and left it with the rest of her things but obviously she hasn’t received it because she’s not physically staying here. AFAIK property isn’t abandoned in Maine until either 60/90 days and I have every intention of letting her get her things but would prefer to be present so she doesn’t pull shady shit

Their website isn't showing any availability in ME or NH that weekend. I called them today and the closest they could get was in MA.

Thank you for the kind words. I completely understand what you're saying (this is the first I've heard of the disability, too; I obviously don't know its nature). I'm honestly not looking for an unkind resolution here: something like you describe, where there was a a gradual, community effort to get the dogs better homes in some manner, would be great. It's just that the guy has iron-clad protection in perpetuating the current situation (when he, by the law, shouldn't), and it's a situation, as discussed, that invites suffering. There needs to be a path to better for the dogs and the community.
