All I want for Christmas is a singular Cherry MX blue.

Look at that subtle off black coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my god. It even has a logo.

As part of the KBD.NEWS Advent Calendar, Nick Brassel (u/tzarc), one of QMK’s Directors, writes about how he wasn’t satisfied with keyboards only having switches and an indicator LED or three. Read it here:

Yeah, I only now realise this. But I managed to solve my issues anyway, if you check my other comments. I will probably buy some artisans or blank keycaps to swap the ones not fitting. I don't want to buy another kit because I planned this build specifically around it. ITA ISO sets are very rare, and finding a good one with pleasant colours is quite the hassle.

What you probably bought:
That’s for the Q1 and K2 only. The box from Keychron is always the same regardless of what’s inside.
Currently they don’t have matching keycaps on offer for most of their K-series boards. Maybe you can still find them somewhere, though, because they used to be available less than a year ago. Alternatively you might find a fitting set from Glorious or a similar vendor.

If it was only coding I'd say red, but since you're gaming I'd say REEEEEEED

Yep, it is Bauer 2, I don't know the difference between the Bauer and Bauer 2 :) I really love this layout and it works really well with the game I am playing (HOTS). With my retired Razer keyboard, I found myself pressing the windows key a lot during gameplay, which was pretty annoying.

Gotta say this keyboard is pretty cool but it is probably overkill for me :) During covid lockdown there weren't many options to pick from and when I got lucky for the raffle I pulled the trigger.
I also got treasure type-9 during the lockdown and I think that one looks even better. It is a 9-switch macro keyboard, that is going to be my next build.

Most cherry switches I’ve tried (blacks/browns/clears) are quite scratchy, but also wear in beautifully after a few thousand actuations.
In terms of most usable tactiles out of the box AEBoards Naevys are my favourite; great price, stock springs feel greet to me, and the tactile bump is enjoyable but not overwhelming.

The Q series have bounce not flex. And tbh, so long as the PCB isn't pushing against the silicone it'll be fine

Fair enough, I guess you just have to be careful with pouring. I like this idea.
Yeah, I honestly love the Q5 & Q6. But my one real complaint was lackluster case foam. Swapping it for denser+thicker foam made a noticeable difference.

On the left paw part [as looked from the mousepad] I would suggest to change it to a slight curve, instad of this spiked edge. since I can see it easily tear around that area.

- The second cat in the smaller keyboard coaster sizes is not meant to be readily visible during actual use (because it'll be covered by the keyboard). But it is there so that whenever you lift your keyboard you get a cute surprise!

Cherry clear as a stock is not great. You need to change it to Ergo clears. Ergo clears are the basis for zeal, holy panda switches. To change to ergo, you need to change the springs to 60g or 62g and lube.
