I was born in 98. My parents had a pink rotary phone. I remember my dad saying I could have it in my room, until I was old enough to want to use it. Being young and dumb, I (years) later asked him how to hook it up so I could use it. It got taken away.

Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to directly compare U4T to U4TX, but I have another keyboard with Holy Panda X and here is my thoughts.

I first tried some stock switches (no lube, no film) and while the sound was already thock, the typing feeling was not as much satisfying, the switch response was worse than Panda X switches, so I definitely wanted to lube them.

Before opening the switch, the wobble is not that noticeable, but after lubing the wobble is definitely there, so I filmed them all.

The final result after lubing and filming is the most satisfying typing sound I've ever had, a nice fat and thock clack for every strike and the typing experience was drastically better.

Being 100% honest, currently I still prefer a bit more the Panda X as they feel faster in the switch response and offer a smoother typing to me, but it could also be a matter of habit

A rotary numpad! Amazing. I'll add that to the list of things I never knew I needed.

I would say his job does not involve a significant amount of numeric data entry though. That may take him a while.

Born in the early 80s. Pretty sure I remember a yellow rotary phone on the wall in the kitchen in my earliest memories. There was definitely a similar rotary phone that sat on the bedside table at my grandparents' house for many years.

from the beginning it was already clear that you did not understand the point of my argument. Collecting is not a problem, I for example have 4 pads, a Control L, speed L and 2 xl aesthetics.
I don't care, nobody cares, I don't know the OP. The point is, basing happiness on junk is not psychologically heealth. And more than that, I don't collect anything, maybe you have this capitalist (maybe American) idea of having a lot of unnecessary, expensive and exclusive things, socially normalized in you

How do you like them? I’m looking into the U4TX as well for a build but not much info about them as reviews seem to be primarily about the more popular U4T

How’s the wobble? Does the quieter upstroke feel any different or is it mostly just audible?
