Luckily the only people sitting next to me were someone I know and a grandpa that was sleeping the entire time. The flight attendants passed by multiple times but didn't say anything or have much reaction.

I’m not diminishing your experience but I’ve only had good interactions with their customer service, but never for a defective product (missing order items and address changes). Sorry you went through this.

He sold to buy switches and lube

That's the reason why I don't lube the bottom housing anymore and only lubing the stem and bag lubing the springs

For people saying "test your PCB", you're right and wrong.
This isn't a GB product by some unreputable person/company, this is a very well known company selling a fully fleshed out product, there isn't a room for a PCB being "possibly" faulty.
On top of that their own guide does not mention testing the PCB, probably for the same reason above.
Edit: What are you downvoting me for? He didn’t read the manual and damaged the socket, testing the PCB wouldn’t have prevented this post.

That's still a membrane keyboard. Just the keycap has a stem of sorts that makes it "feel" slightly more like a mechanical keyboard

As someone who's been flying a lot this year for work....
1.) I already feel weird just bringing my 40% in my carry on. Especially when they make me take it out of its bag to see what it is.
2.) I would think you were so weird if you sat next to me. Then I'd probably be excited to have someone to talk to about my keyboard that I brought in my carry on.

What is "semi" mechanical?
Looks shit, but if it's like £5 I'd pick one up. You can never have enough old beater boards in an emergency, or if you get that call from a friend asking if they can borrow a keyboard. Does anyone else get that? "You're into keyboards aren't ya? Can I borrow one until I get paid at the end of the month? Mine broke". Having some piece of shit like this means you can say yes, and not worry.

I'm assuming English. As I said though... there's no real correct way to type. What works for you, works for you.

Well, if it's just a panel I need to push in, I will do it myself, since the time I put in to fix it is in no relation to the time I waste when dealing with the whole warranty process.
Car analogies simply don't work in all cases.
I understand your frustration with a non working product, but you identified the issue and the fix was simple. I am not sure if it's worth wasting your, your girlfriends and the company time just because of principle...

Defining "correct" touch typing is country dependant btw. While in the US it is often teached with hitting the 6 right handed, it is in Germany "correctly" teached to hit the 6 left handed... there are both schools. Both are correct.

My parents were kind enough to tell me about that incident after my plane landed. (Not to Hawaii or anything.) Sounds awful.
