This is the first keyboard I ever built. It was a fun project. Waiting for everything to arrive sucked though. I went with alpacas for my switches. I filmed and lubed them myself. Lubing was easy. I probably won't ever film switches again. That was way to tedious. Overall I am super happy and it sounds and feels miles above my old anne pro 2.

Serious question:

I have a cheap board with Otemu blues that I used a few years ago when I had an office job. Got a new job and will be back in an office half the time. The switches are a bit scratchy and have a metallic ping. What can I do to improve the experience?

Shave the bump with a razor blade if you hate clicks. And lube. You’ll have an interesting switch. I’m still not sure how to feel about it though .

If you don't mind a condensed or cut down navigation cluster; looking at an 1800 / 96% layout board might give you more options. The Keychron boards have a layer switch on the back for Windows and Mac layouts but any board with VIA support, you can program a separate layout for your Mac and Windows and quickly switch between them with a key press. I have a Q6 at work for the occasional numpad use and I like it.
