I have an SN30 Pro which I think is great, but it doesn't have any software so can't comment on that. But bad software is so common nowadays that I can't even really discredit that

I use my spacebars with Mod-Tap functionality so holding them down acts as an FN to access layers.
Also I'm used to having just three modifiers to the left and find it's easier to actuate a 2U spacebar than a 1u spacebar with my left thumb.

It does have software that you can download from their site but is not even remotely worth it. I've had a few and the SN30 Pro is certainly the best of the lot.
