I bought the pink nk87 as well. Threw the mt3 cherry neon or whatever on it and it sits on my shelf. It's my cyberpunk keeb.

Love the keycaps, neo wasn’t my fav set but the aesthetic is so good.

I used to think the same, but with the right setup (keys, plate, case) they can be quite satisfying. I abandoned clicky ones though 😅
Have fun exploring the hobby, it’s all about the journey :-)

Yeah I’m relatively new to mechanical switches, used some gateron blues on a gaming keyboard for years so I’ve never used/tried linear much but that’s because I didn’t like the emptyness of the press.

I understand U4Ts are top tier, you’ll need something with its own well defined “character” to really find something different and satisfying.
Maybe you can check linear ones like KTT Strawberry, they are quite good and smooth.

Nice! Ok thanks! I’m waiting on Boba U4ts to come in and I’m itching to try another switch lol

Stock Creams feel smoother than stock CS Lavender and they are even a bit cheaper. I’d go with Cream Blues. I’ve not tried lubed lavenders yet (only stock) so I don’t know if live is a game changer here.

that is the board’s fault lol. also, people on this sub tend to like deeper boards, so when a spacebar sounds lively, they hate it (which is fine but is not “unpleasant”). you can look up sound tests of tons of matrix boards, kfes, and duck boards with zero foam that sound great as well as unique unlike every pe foam board out there

If I were to get one would you recommend lunes lavenders or stock cream blues?

Reply to First mechanical keyboard! coming from an Apple slim extended to a Ducky Shine Mini, £25 on ebay bnib with cherry blues - loving it so far! by TWCXZ
Ducky shine mini 60%, cherry blues - my first mechanical keyboard. Night and day from my old apple slim extended.
I know cherry blues aren’t as popular on here but i like the clicking and it’s super nice to type on! Also since i’ve got a pretty small desk i like the extra space that the 60% layout frees up.

As a camera operator and someone who makes cables for film, I have a drawer full or random Lemo connectors from 0B to 2B sizes and different PIN numbers. It’s fun.

See, that's not even low-profile. This is what I ended up getting but a few of them didn't provide a reliable connection.

I like the spacebar and the knob in particular. Are the artisan keys on the right practical to use?
