it just becomes muscle memory. I couldn’t tell you where all my symbols are if you asked me, but I know how to type them.

take a look at your phone keyboard… no numbers!! But you can still type numbers… our keyboards work exactly the same way

I feel that. I'm not necessarily leaving the hobby, because I still love keyboards, but I'm definitely learning that groupbuys aren't worth the hassle in most cases. Likely just going to buy in-stock or secondhand from now on.

Even then, some group buys just go under despite the creator's reputation. For example, the whole Charue Design situation: The owner completely disappeared a few months ago, has been ignoring all contact, the website was shut down, and now he's been disputing chargebacks. And before all of this, the guy had a great reputation -- he was even the moderator of r/mechmarket.

I love the rough surface on my banana mat so that would be great! Yeah, I have a slightly narrow desk so 400mm mats don't fit comfortably
