There was a brief time that some small home artisans who no longer exist were actually reputable in the community and vendors I looked to for inspiration… If you’re going to make cables just make sure you don’t bite off more than you can chew and if the burnout hits then it’s time to stop.

From what I hear though Cable Mods really tried to help people who got ripped off so I give them some major props! I also love what Cruz Ctrl has done I think he has stayed consistent for years.

Just rotate it 90°. Since you only get 4 columns this way, I'd probably recommend files b to e so you get to keep your queen, and you'd be required to keep your king.

Looks like a lumberjack. I have one as well and got my kit from https://keebd.com/en-us/products/lumberjack-5x12-ortholinear-keyboard-kit. The middle is microcontroller and associated circuitry for the keyboard. It's exposed for aesthetic purposes (a lot of people like the look of through hole electronics) and is covered by an acrylic plate that comes in the kit.

The ANSI version is much better. Still no backspace, but there is a key above ENTER which could be used as an alternative. This ISO version, however is super-weird. Even Keychron don't provide pictures of how it should look when assembled!
