Reply to New (to me) Cherry G80-11800 by 31899
Oh, nice to see an APC-branded board. I've always liked that rack-mount layout. It's probably an 11903, Cherry used that specific number for APC boards - and probably Black switches, not necessarily capital-V Vintage but still smooth.
If you want to find out a little more about it, have a look underneath at the label. Cherry's date codes and article numbers are easy to read.

I will let them shine my turd tho, because that is basicly what they been doing, polishing their old boards and trying to sell the same old stuff from 2019 and making "hype" products no one wants

So referees at chess tournaments are not, in fact, looking at a chess board, but instead a checkers board. How can they possibly judge a game of chess then?

Graystudio did do a Space 80 which was bigger, but like the Space65 it was a group buy and the only PCB options were hotswap or soldered - no North facing option unfortunately

I'm shocked at how much I'm enjoying it!
I was waiting a good while for the keycaps to roll in to build it.
Definitely worth the wait

So the W1-AT is a modern take on the IBM Model F AT. I don't think Windows was the most prevalent OS at the time so keyboards of that era didn't have the Winkey. Seems like geon is pretty fond of that keyboard and this is his rendition of the layout.
This layout aside, no windows key (winkeyless, WKL) is a popular layout option that you'll see being offered on a lot of boards these days.
The selling point being the fact that not everyone has a use for the windows key (I do though; I have it mapped to right alt) and some people want to avoid hitting the Winkey while gaming. Also, the symmetry is very visually pleasing
