It's more the vertically that matters imo, it's a more comfortable positioning for wasd and asdf

Not really? I mean, I doubt the layout is made by a 40% enthusiast. Akko put more research into their upcoming 40% board which does use Minivan layout. 40% keyboards aren't just "60% with num row cut off"

The Quefrency has the same layout, but is split, not sure if thatβs youβre thing, but you can put it together for a completely normal layout.

I like 40s with βnormalβ keycap support. There is plenty of them in the 40s community. This one is pretty cool and a good intro into 40s since you donβt have to buy an additional 40s child kit for it.
