Looks awesome. I also love the apollo keycaps, I know the enter key is supposed to be a rocket but I'm a researcher and to me it looks like a little pipette...which makes me want the set even more :P
I'm looking for my next 65% daily/endgame alu and this is looking really tempting. but it seems from checking it out this week, like the price on the Q2 can get to nearly $200 when you include the $30 shipping charge, is that right? and at that point I feel like I might as well save up for something like a mode envoy.

Some people like some "breathing room" for their arrow keys, it's easier to find them like that when touch typing

It didnt come across poorly at all, no worries. I was trying to make fun of myself, but intent doesnt always transmit in written text. I totally get the need for a numpad, as I have a stand alone numpad that I use, but I actually prefer it placed on the left so that I can have my mouse closer to my body and actually use my mouse (right hand) and numpad (left hand) simultanously. It took some time to train myself to be competent using a numpad left handed, but once I did, it was a game-changer. I am actually thinking my next project might be a southpaw full size keyboard to have this workflow in a single keyboard.

I tried using a tkl for the longest time... I just kept coming back to wanting a full numpad/ thinking how much it was slowing me down not having one. I hope you are able to stick with the 65 and dont experience the same regret I did!
... Sorry if my previous post came across poorly

My advice is never visit the keyboard related subs again. Otherwise something will catch your eye and you'll slide down the rabbit hole. I told myself something similar at the start and now own six keyboards.

I guess technically I am an engineering professor, but I do have a separate numpad in the office. I built this as a 65% to make it more portable so I can take it to my lectures.

I think so. But I never wanted it to be a hobby, really, I just wanted a very good keyboard which lasts me a long time. :)

I don't think so, bought it half a year ago and modded it pretty extensively and I'm happy ever since. :)

This is the first 360 I've seen, I love it.
Do you wish for deeper stagger on the pinky columns?
Do you miss having a row of command keys? I mean, how do you press command-alt-Q? By reaching up both thumbs over their main keys, and stretching left pinky out to the Q?
Can you change the switches? Have you tried flashing a new layout?

The sound is definitely a love it or hate it thing. Nothing like a keyboard that sings for you while you type!
