Build Specs:

  • GMMK Pro

  • GMMK polycarbonate plate

  • Gateron Black switches (Hand Lubed)

  • Stock Glorious stabs (I will replace these eventually with Durock V2 when I get the chance. For the time being the stock stabs are fine after I wiped them off and regreased them)

  • $20 MSA profile Keycaps from a place called Mintcaps I found on Amazon. I was gonna get them as a placeholder until I could get some nicer ones however I was very surprised how nice the quality of these are so they'll probably be my permanent keycaps!

I've had a few projects like that where I've left them sitting, and when I ordered this one I wasn't sure if it was going to go quick or drag out for a while.

Once I opened it up and realized how nice of a build the Campsite case was, I got super motivated and got it done in a couple of hours. I'm really liking the Minivan layout right now, too.

I had some minor annoyances with the bottom row and had to de-solder a couple of switches but that's it. I did the bottom row first with one or two switches on the top row for stability, test fit into the case once with some keycaps, and then the rest went super fast.

60% (and others like it) have ruined me on full-size boards. I'd be scared to use this because it just might ruin me all over again and turn me against everything.
