as someone who bottoms out on every single keypress: it did take me a day or two to get used to silent switches, but soon enough you get used to going by the feeling instead of the sound! I have a mix of Haimu Whispers (~65g actuation, no silicone in the design) and TTC Silent Bluish Whites (~45g, silicone dampeners on the stem) on the same keyboard and they’re both tactile enough that it’s not too different from using a board of regular tactiles.

Ya started budget, found inexpensive keycaps and switches on sale, then wanted the koi fish keys and finally decided to get it cerakoted because it was the clearish smokey case. Didn’t cerakote it myself, used a local gunsmith, got it back after a couple weeks.

Keychron V3 cerakoted, eBay’d light Blue PBT pudding caps oem, gateron milky yellow pros with 205g0, custom resin koi pond keycaps off Etsy. Did plumbers tape mod on stabs and electrical tape with led cut outs on top of PCB instead of pe foam. Everything sounds amazing but the heavier resin spacebar is a bit spongy. Wife loves it though.

Black actually along with the accent. We just Cerakoted it copper metallic. I’m the owner of WiredInStore.com and we do cable and Cerakote work so it was a lot more cost efficient to do it ourselves. The Cerakote finish has a little metallic to it which is also really nice and a little different from stock.
