The space was a bit weird if you hit it on the far ends, but the other keys were all ok and didn't feel different from what I remember. They had basic stabs with plenty of grease applied.

We're you able to overcome the stiff feeling of longer off-center actuation keys like the Enter or shift keys?

Shopee is a super-unreliable site from everyone I've talked to, and James Donkey's products have never struck me as being the best value. I would recommend, based on where you're located, seeing if there are any local stores or vendors that stock Keychron's products - they're really fantastic, considering the price.

Lavender and all the kits that went into group buy around that time suffered the most from covid/the supply chain issue. That was the height of the keyboard craze when there were literally 15+ group buys a month. I am also waiting on lavender and it is definitely the longest I've had to wait for any set since 2020. Besides that and daifuku from 2021, I haven't bought anything else and kind of done with the hobby- don't need anymore keyboards or keycap sets.

Hey, i would suggest you to look into what Akko sells. I can attest that they Have quite a nice quality for the amount you pay. As you are using shopee, you might be lucky and find them for even cheaper.
I have a keychron K6, and it is solidly overrated, even after spending time on modding it.
Don‘t be discouraged by people on here only preaching customs, parts can be really hard to get depending on where you are.
Personal suggestions: I really like Akko’s jelly white switches. They are linear and light. Also, RGB is nice to have, but i really dont ever use my knob.

that's what I expected but the board turned out much more poppy/clacky, I will post a sound test. I still like how it sounds so I'm not disappointed but I'm trying to figure out how I could make it more thocky. is it the gateron milky yellows I used?

It's all about muscle memory. I thought it was going to be drastically different in my case but with the way a lot of people place their hands, and Alice keyboard is almost as natural and agronomic as having a regular keyboard.

Because it’s a cheap and crappy keyboard.

K3 Pro with lubed gateron red lp switches. Tape mod (2 layers) and plumbers mod for the stabs. Keycaps from a Nuphy Air96 I just got. Desk crab in the bg for good measure.

I tried the Feker Alice80 first. Not bad at all, but not that good too. Next I tried the Keychron Q8 (much more expensive, mind you) and fell in love with it.

If you saved that from the trash, that’s a good deal. That’s similar specs to the system I’m running now with FreeBSD. Put in some Linux distro. You’ll be happy with it.
