9009 in a grey case is still probably my favorite combo. Also, I think this might be the first time I've ever tuned stabilizers just right on the first try. No ticking or rattling whatsoever and I didn't need to go in with a syringe or anything. Thank god.

OH I saw the reflection of the keyboard on the front of the case, and assumed there was plexiglass covering the side of the internals you can see and was like "hm. This seems like there might not be a good amount of airflow." But now i see that panel is actually open and is just me assuming things!

Also, I'm unsure what you mean by getting one later cut?

I thought of doing this in the beginning. The problem is there are so many places this will fail. Applications built for mac will assume you have the default layout. For starters, ctrl+c won't work: it needs to be ctrl+c for terminal for keyboard interrupt signal.

Actually, in Linux, most terminals support ctrl+shift+c/v for copy & paste.

I think the point here is: I try to stick to system default wrt to shortcuts, otherwise you'll spend a lot tweaking every application, and the ones you're yet to use.

So I guess you can swap the copy paste cut to ctrl instead of cmd. I don't think it overrides anything. Just mentioning I'm not against switching to a different layout, just suggesting a different approach.

I use ctrl a lot too. Ctrl+a,e,f,b,n,p in Macos is very useful (readline bindings, like emacs).

Not to mention I use Tmux, so Ctrl-a is a must.

Did you get R3 stabs? That version has severe issues for many people, myself included. The new QMX stabs are pretty good, and I'll soon try the new TX AP stabs.
