did the same trick with the old IBM keyboard.

it seems people just can't get their head around that 2/4/6/8 are cursor key and 9/3 are PgUp/PgDn and 7 as Home and 1 as End keys - when the NumLock light is off.

(Remember on the old IBM keyboard there are no dedicated cursor keys and other function keys.) 🤣

if that's the case the keyboard would disappear from the desk and miraculously appear on someone else's desk. 😂

my left fingers are muscle trained with that arrangement. I even use my left hand to punch in numbers at the ATM when my right hand is full 😉

Ah, yes they are. I have only tried blue, brown and red. I found that I prefer the blue for typing (clicky) and the red for normal work / gaming (red are linear, similar to yellow).

My browns aren't as satisfying as my blue switches, and aren't as smooth as my reds.

YMMV.

Well pretty much anything that isn’t brown but I have two switches I really like.

There are of course people with much more experience who have also tried much more switches. But from what I tried these were my favorites. I would recommend getting a switch tester.

Yeah, I'm not talking work, I'm more talking day to day life. Watch, phone, tablet, pc, even TV. It's an ecosystem that catches you if you go down the road. Switching from a PC to Mac or vice versa is probably easy enough.

You can definitely move back from Apple. My employee who’s only doing backend software development went from macOS to Linux a few years ago and he’s very happy and productive.

Where are you located? Chances are, there's a pretty good vendor near you.
