IMHO, it's one of the best-looking sets from PBTfans so far. Currently, I‘m building a keeb for my dad with them. Now I'm torn between admiring the classic look and not being willing to part with them in the end. 😅

I have the rk71 and honestly I am suspicious that it may already be pre-lubed, just feels so smooth.
I also really like the keycaps.

I don’t have the best calipers at hand but I measure them at around 1.7 to 1.8 mm. They are really thick and high quality.

Consider popping off the keycaps (or maybe even completely disassembling it) to clean the insides, too.
I dust my keyboard all the time, but I still get a lot of stuff between the keys and under the switch plate. Hence me disassembling it every month to clean it completely - carefully wash the keycaps and go in with a soft brush, dump everything on the table and vacuum it away.
I use a camera cleaning kit, works fantastic for all my electronics.

I know these are both normal people's boards but do cats have favourite switches to sit on? Do they like the the comfy linear switch, the supportive tactile or the human-annoying clicky?

Things I wish I knew when I started
- lube brushes are lower quality than “artists brushes” and aren’t cheaper. They’re just low quality size 0 or 1 paintbrushes marked up a bunch.
- The difference between a little two-piece switch opener vs the gateron one that looks like a pair of pliers is mind blowing. Best extra 20 bucks I’ll ever spend on this hobby.
- be gentle when removing switches from a board and be sure to pull straight up
- soldering is crazy easy, I lose fewer switches to bent pins, and it doesn’t take significantly more time than carefully aligning switch pins into hotswap sockets. Nothing wrong with hotswap though.
- I never ended up using the dielectric grease I ordered
- fine keyboards are like fine food or drink, there’s no “best” just different tastes, preferences, moods, and recipes
Enjoy!

The price feels misleading considering you need to buy a plate to go with it $19-55 extra

Odin V2 is very tempting - idk why but it's got more appeal then the rekt1800!

You’re right it does match - I think it may just be the glare on the mouse though

I think it will need a bit more of maintainence but the rgb looks really well on white.

Looks dope, mine is on the way. My only concern is white color, I wonder If It will get dirty very fast compared to black keyboards.

Your site FAQ states: "Worldwide shipping costs $3.99 USD (the weight and the number of products don’t matter)." However, when I go to check out, Shipping is not $3.99 -- it's $7.99.
- why does the shipping for me not match what you've guaranteed it will be and is instead double the cost of what you state it is?

Well then they wouldn't be a deskmat then, would they? :P
I think what you're looking for are just called "mousepads". But it's a good idea
