I have some old Cherry Whites - factory-lubed Greens, ie heavy lubed Blues. I like them - the lube seems to take out some of the treble in the sound and makes the click feel softer, particularly at the beginning as the collar starts to engage. The only trouble is, with use mine have deteriorated in feel - but then, they've never been re-lubed. Modern lubricants might well last better.

I don't know if there are any other factory-lubed clickies - much of the attention in boutique switches seems to have gone towards replicating the Alps click feel (which isn't my preference). I also wonder if we could get closer to the Model M feel - perhaps using a conical or multi-stage spring.

I have boards with Aristotle and Phoenix stems. The Phoenix stems are based on the Aristotles (Aristotle stems are increasingly hard to find). I find both more enjoyable than Kailh Jades/Navies, blues, green, really any other clicky.
I got the Phoenix stems from Gazzew directly, don't know if he's still selling to individuals. Since they're low batch, there is a premium you'll pay.

I suggest gaining perspective from how other enthusiast communities handle GBs. Anything like Pens, flashlights, guitar pickups etc. Maybe not retro tech, because they also have issues with timely delivery.

Because you wont know for sure if the replies you get are by people involved in the GB. Or simply people that were equally screwed over projecting their cope.

Right now im running a budget planar magnetic. The hifiman he x4? Idk which ever is the newer one thats on drop. Running it on the fulla schiit 3 dac/amp. Pretty nice soundstage and clear audio. Just the tiniest bit high on the treble but not too bad. Ppl say its pretty good as entry level planar magnetics. I wouldnt quite know but they sound good to me.

If money wasnt an issue i would want a keyboard with each switch type. But the linear would mainly be used for gaming. My goto would probably be tactiles, but i still would like clickies for the occasional nice clicky typing. Only felt box whites for click bars but it was nice. But now since im getting the wooting 60he that would fill the linear gaming oriented kb slot full force, so i wouldnt build a custom with linears

I’m know you said besides Keychron, but I’d like to validate your statement for you. I have the Keychron K3 Low Profile Wireless with optical Brown, and while it’s been flawless for it’s purpose (goes into the office with me as a mobile keyboard), I bloomin well wish I could get different key caps to mod it.

So you’re right to look elsewhere if you want to build your own rather than just assemble something from stock parts.

Other than Kailh Box switches and other clickbar switches like the Chosfox White Owl ( I think is the name?), the only other MX-style clickies anyone will recommend will be the Zeal Clickiez. There are also some less widely available switches such as the Gazzew Phoenix Clicks which I bring up based on the Gazzew name, but I have no experience with them and haven’t seen a built version sold anywhere except through Kirball

Other than these, most widely available MX-style switches are click jacket switches (e.g. Cherry/Gateron Blues), which aren’t worth paying for (honestly, they aren’t even worth it free in my opinion)
