99% of all time it hinder. I used to use common number keys with 65% keyboard. More space for mouse. Also helps the hands to be in the center of the body when typing.

Similarly re pre-Mirrodin aesthetic: The collorless mana symbol (used on the super/win key) is very new as far as Magic goes (introduced 2015), so it also doesn't fit in that old aesthetic.

I think it fits fine where it is and would personally prefer a slightly more modern aesthetic (could the shift key with a current tap symbol be an option?), but if consistency is desired, it shouldn't be there.

I like the feeling actually, I like it being hard to press. I just hope it won’t damage the switches… I feel a lil bit idiot for now….

I've seen people prefer the "extended 65%" name because it's more helpful. It means that the keyboard was extended on the left with a numpad fitting however many rows there are available (4-6). It's easier than estimating whether it falls into "1800" or "96%" or whatever category.

The very first KBD.NEWS Advent Calendar is starting off with a 0th day post on what the heck is a mechanical keyboard advent calendar.

(Spoiler: It's been a custom in the Japanese DIY keyboard community, but I tried to recruit an all-star line-up to bring this phenomenon to you outside of Japan.)

Posts will be revealed one by one, landing page this way:

I’m so very grateful to have invested in the Wuque Silicone Lube Station. Before, I was using a very cheap 3d printed “Lubing Deck” that only held 15 switches. The 2 halves of this lube station are quite flat and fit well together to not take up too much space. The bottom half holder fits the switches snugly, with no undue pressure put upon the housing. The little stem holders do a decent job, and the spaces for the tops, springs and brush are so very appreciated.

Other Tools:

Gateron Switch “Lobster Cracker”

Reverse/Locking tweezers

Pencil Lead Holder 4mm

Tin box as Lube Pallet

1 of the 20 brushes left over from a hobby of miniatures painting

These specific Durock POMs are getting the K205g0 brushed on the rails, stems AND SPRINGS. Last set I made used the Deskeys soft switch films – and I love em. This set is getting the TX PC films for a test run.

Just wait until they start making these in very bright and vibrant colorways :)
