I would hands down chose the gorillaz... Damon Albarn is my favorite musical artist ever and his catalog will never get old to me... ever.

There’s an interesting thread right now in this forum about how to separate the artist and their personalities from their works and to me, Pink Floyd is a great example. Love their music but Roger Waters is becoming more and more an obnoxious, ridiculous asshole and it’s really making it hard for me to enjoy the music I used to cherish.
Oh, he’s a raging ass. I also still listen to Michael Jackson and Kid Rocks first album. If I’m listening to music all I care about is the music. Is Kevin Spacey being a pedo supposed to make me not like Se7en?
Massive Attack
Interpol
I totally get you. The song, the script, the producing team… they are not to blame for the the author, singer or director. Yet for me is kinda hard to separate them. MJ is an excellent example.
Gorillaz? Really?
Arguably, it’s not a band; as most of it is animated.
Fun fact. The melody and beat from Clint Eastwood wasn’t even written! It was the ‘demo’ track on some old piece of music equipment.
To answer the question. If I can’t have variety, I’d rather live in silence.
My chemical romance or the front bottoms 😎
I think I'm going with New Order this time.
Rammstein

A life without Meat Loaf is a life I don’t wanna live
Supertramp
Wu tang Clan… because Wu Tang is forever
Tool
Green day
Pearl Jam
Nine Inch Nails for me thx, especially if the Trent Reznor soundtracks count for this
Haken

Kraftwerk
I think The Mars Volta or The Strokes
Good Answer... love interpol
King Crimson
Smashing pumpkins 91-2000 I need those first five albums in my life especially Siamese dream… also John Coltrane and meshuggah and don caballero
Tom Petty
Buckethead
Have you ever listened to their discography? And also the "animation" is Jamie Hewlet... the music is Damon Albarn and tons of other collaborative artist... and they're definitely a band of some sort... Clint Eastwood is the radio sex that simpletons groove to, and I know they used a pre-recorded instrument... infact Damon posted a story where he said work smarter, not harder... Also, eat a whole case of wieners because you have no idea what you're talking about mate.
Great band. Love um'
Heard that
Fun fact, coldplay stole music from kraftwerk.
Billy Corgan is a national treasure.
They didn't steal it, they asked for permission and received it from Ralf Hutter.
Yup. But many other artists stole from them.

Hmmm… tough choice, but I’m probably going with Garbage.
Tom Waits without a doubt.
311
Thank you. I never actually did the homework to see if they got permission... I just heard the identical riff and thought wow, they stole this shit.... but you have opened my eyes to the truth, so thank you again.
primus- anything les claypool
Funkadelic or Devo
Grateful Dead. I mean, I've already been a Deadicated daily listener for over half my life (so far)...so I might as well keep going.
Heard that
Radiohead or Arcade Fire. Arcade Fire is the band that got me into music, and Radiohead is just magical.
Depeche mode
I saw Tom Petty up above and that would be my second. I am going to be Cliche and say The Beatles because they have always been my favorite and thier music got me through some hard times when I was in High School in the early 90's.
It’s very “arguable” that they’re not a band, because cartoons can’t write and perform music. That is the work of Deltron, Damon, Cibo Matto, and the visual artist. Your argument is super-floppy. Gorillaz a band, and, more subjectively, I think they’re pretty good!
Rush.
Cocteau Twins
good choice, but i would go for the doors.
Alice in chains. When I first heard that Layne Staley died, my first (selfish) thought was "this is going to be bad for me"
Jethro Tull
Probably Slipknot
Definitely AIC for me too!
PJ Harvey
The Cure
We found the emo kid. Highly likely you were born in 1994.
The Cure, Tom petty… good choices. Probably Milk Carton Kids.
Paul Kelly
Ween.
Pretty fuckin close
What is that?
Group: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band or The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Single artist: who else but Bob Dylan. 😻
Radiohead is in my top 5 forsure.
