What was the first album you bought with your own money?

10 year old me bought Elton John Greatest Hits. At the time, they also had Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. I didn't recognize the songs, but the album art was so cool, I was almost tempted to go with it. I stuck to my guns and got the better choice (for me anyway) and enjoyed playing those songs on my cheap turntable.
