My all time favorite sub-genre of rock songs are epic ballads that begin with a beautiful acoustic melody that then transition into a high intensity badass overdriven riff.
“Cry of Achilles” by Alter Bridge and “Anastasia” by Slash are pretty much perfect examples of this. I was wondering if anyone out there has any song suggestions for tunes that fit this general vibe?
