Carla Bozulich's version of Red Headed Stranger is good enough that Willie Nelson appears on it several times.

There's a list of people who turned down various honours on Wikipedia and I think they're much better company to be in than those who accepted.

Reply to What do you call it when a song becomes unbearable because you've heard it so often? by AndWat
Around here were just call it "Radio".... I swear the local programming manager only has 10 fingers... so that is the total number of songs his (her) station is capable of playing.

People will always want something real, whether it’s seeing live music and feeling the energy of the performers, or viewing a real painting and seeing the textures and layers. AI will never be able to give the same experience.

Again, I'm not meaning this in an insulting way, but you saying any music loved by many is "not too different, mass appeal" is like a non-chef telling Gordon Ramsay his food just doesn't quite have enough pizazz. It's ok to not like something, but I don't think you can discount it in any way unless you're an expert in the field, and I've never met an expert who discounts any of the mainstream "legends"

The title Sir should be used with the full name, or the first name alone. Not with the surname alone.
Reverend is used in a similar way, but if used with just the last name should be "The Reverend (Mr)(Mrs)(etc) Lastname".

I know what song you are talking about but I forgot the name. Pretty sure it was an English metal band; not King Diamond.
Edit: I remember now, the band is Grim Reaper and the song is called Final Scream.

All the "hits" and everything on the radio are truly unbearable. Every hit, and every song are disgusting...

Reply to Drugs & alcohol aside, Amy Winehouse was an awkward live performer by The-Unmentionable
I guess it depends on the performances and perspective? I don't feel like I've seen too many where she seemed odd but I purposely avoid ones people label with her being high / on drugs. I don't want to see her like that because that's someone who had a lot to offer and I'm not going to let that detract from her legacy for me.
I always wished Amy, Duffy and Paloma could've done something together as the women dominating that soulful vintage R&B sound.
