The word of Sacha Baron Cohen, who has made a career out of racist caricatures. Okay.

The last splash crew seem like the definitive breeders line-up to me even though POD was the better album, be class to see them live even nowadays, consider yourself lucky on that, quality.

Sound and Vision- David Bowie. I heard it in the 90's and thought it was new. I knew it was gonna be big.

Reply to Your favorite ballads of all time? by VioletZ9
I'd say Florence is the queen of ballads. From " Over The Love " and " No Light No Light " all the way to " End of Love " and " Jenny of Oldstones " so for the sake of me NOT listing a hundred Florence songs . . . I'll leave Florence's catalog of stunning ballads out.
NO ORDER
- MacArthur Park - Donna Summer ^(( stunning inflection, gorgeous nuanced vocals) )
- Summer Wine - Lana Del Rey ^(( Is this a ballad? I'm not sure but I've always loved this song.) )
- Forever For Now - LP
- Version of Me - KIMBRA
- This Woman's Work - Kate Bush ^(( Arguably the greatest song of all time) )
- Sally's Song - Fiona Apple
- Be My Last - Utada Hikaru
- Stepping Stone - Duffy
- Hardest of Hearts - Florence + the Machine ^(( I let one slip. I'm in no way saying this is the best one of hers but It's underrated. ))
- Writer in the Dark - Lorde

Nah music is an expression of human emotions and experience Ai can imitate it but it’s not the real thing it won’t have that human spirit to it that gives it that “magic”

I'll be honest I'm new to Reddit only had it for 2 days, and it's also is a discussion I want to hear people's thoughts on with Pixies and Nirvana , I was even thinking of adding The Breeders to the discussion, but even though their amazing their kind of a spinoff band like the foo fighters, also my self pr0mo has been pretty terrible so far so, I don't really know about all that, would actually like some pointers on it from anyone who's in the know.

Chess computers have been around for a while now. They own human players in all aspects of the game. Yet, people still like watching humans play. In fact, Chess has never been as popular as it is right now. I wouldn’t worry so much.

I would say it depends on genre. In rap or electronic it might be okay. But in genres like rock or classical it is terrible.

Can it be monetized, what is the rate of return on the investment? Is there an underserved market that AI generated music can dominate?

Oh yeah! Disney put clips of all of the Frozen songs on YouTube months before the movie came out and I would watch them with my then 3yo. We loved Let It Go but had no idea him that would blow up like it did.

Reply to Why U2 is so hated (my take) by Expensive_Ad_403
Isn’t this kind of the same as with REM or RHCP? They sound a certain way so you can always tell that it is U2 (or REM) even if it is a new song you haven’t heard before? These bands have a very distinct soundscape which makes them instantly recognisable and I guess that - along with if you fell Bono’s a douche - makes U2 rub certain people the wrong way perhaps?
I absolutely love their early work. “Under a Blood Red Sky” was even the first CD I acquired back in the early nineties… I don’t hate U2. But their material is not as strong anymore (in my opinion)…

I actually had the opposite…
Listened to Uptown Funk with less than a million plays and was kinda like ehh.. didn’t think it was anything special.
After the second or third time I really appreciated it tho and when it went meteoric I was def excited that I heard it early on.
