Jesse Spradlin - Close My Eyes
“But I'm starting to wonder I′m starting to feel I'm starting to question If this could be real
But, I don't want to close my eyes And give you a chance to disappear I don′t want to lose my mind By taking a chance and not seeing clear
Feels like I′m falling But I don't know if I should believe Then when you tell me you want me It seems like I′m living a dream”

Your Ex-Lover is Dead by Stars.
I know the title doesn't sound as "healthy" but trust me. It's a breakup song, but coming to grips with it. And it has a beautiful cello/bass line in the chorus.

A lot of Carol King songs feel like good breakup songs. I came here to recommend "You Can Close Your Eyes" by Carol King.

My CD player in my car broke and stopped ejecting CDs. Luckily it decided to do this with Demon Days trapped inside, so I listened to that album A LOT when it was released.

Mike Posner-I took a pill in Ibiza (Seeb remix)
It's so good, even though remix is literally in the title, most people aren't even aware of the original version.

You'd be surprised how many people I have talked to about Gorillaz who DON'T agree with that sentiment. It's nice to hear someone who agrees for once.

What kind of indie are we talking about here? Here are three:
Brainiac - Hissing Prigs in Static Contour
Closet Goth - Open
Jesus Lizard - Glamorous

True Faith by New Order remixed by Shep Pettibone, probably other remixes of his I'm not remembering right now. He shaped 80s club music and even early hip hop in a huge way.

I like the original version as well but the remix definitely hits a little harder.

Tool - h.
What's coming through is alive What's holding up is a mirror But what's singing songs is a snake, it is Looking to turn my piss to wine They're both totally void of hate And killing me just the same The snake behind me hisses What my damage could have been My blood before me begs me Open up my heart again And I feel this coming over like a storm again Considerately Venomous voice, tempts me And drains me, bleeds me Leaves me cracked and empty Drags me down like some sweet gravity The snake behind me hisses What my damage could have been My blood before me begs me Open up my heart again And I feel this coming over like a storm again, now And I feel this coming over like a storm again, now I am too connected to you To slip away, to fade away Days away I still feel you Touching me, changing me And considerately killing me Considerately killing me Considerately killing me Considerately killing me Without the skin, here beneath the storm Under these tears, now The walls came down Once the snake is drowned and As I look in his eyes My fear begins to fade Recalling all of those times I could have cried then I should have cried then As the walls come down and As I look in your eyes My fear begins to fade Recalling all of the times I have died And will die It's all right I don't mind I don't mind I don't mind I am too connected to you To slip away and fade away Days away I still feel you Touching me, changing me And considerately killing me Considerately killing me, yeah Considerately killing me
