GTA San Andreas got me into Jerry Reed and subsequently into country music. I'd never figured myself for a country fan until I played. Great games, awesome soundtracks.

I somehow have never played GTA, but I just listened to some of their songs and they're really good!

I remember playing that on the n64, and the badass soundtrack. Brings back memories.

Grand Theft Auto has excellent soundtracks. I like the hardcore station in GTA IV especially. Love me some Agnostic Front.

I think in a lot of cases when it comes to bands, it really depends on how the group came into being. Were they a bunch of friends who decided to pick up instruments and make music, get popular, etc? Or was it a person putting together a group of musicians to back their work? Does the sound fall apart when you change one or more members? There's a lot of different little things that go toward making that determination.

As to single artists creating and releasing music under a 'band name' I think most of them should probably be considered solo acts.

Totally agree. Powerful, definitely. I think there's few people that understand the freedom and power that comes with this music. Also even if that's the last thing people will think about when thinking about metal, there's quiete a few songs that are almost like classical music. Thinking for example of sound of silence from disturbed or Eva from nightwish. For the uplifting strength giving ones Id consider for example arch enemy, the world is yours
