I got hired by Capitol Records to get photos of Foo Fighters at their first official gig at The Palace in L.A. where they were opening for Mike Watt. I got there and Mike had declared no photo passes. So bummed. I love that album.

Pound for pound, DKC2 may be the "better" soundtrack. But hey, "Aquatic Ambience" and "Stickerbush Symphony" more than justify the inclusion of both DKC installments in any video game music "best of" lists, and there's plenty of other beautifully composed tracks on each.

thanks for explaining. Personal musical interest is a huge part and would certainly explain why we search for new music through artists we already know. I had imagined plenty of people on a music thread on reddit, would have an general interest in music. I think I was focusing more on the why we listen. So in that instance, once you've found something, why would you continue to listen to it/what would motivate that. That's sort of where I got my ideas of 1.matching how we currently feel 2. matching how we want to feel and the third suggestion from this thread of how we used to feel.

>Rock is not even relevant anymore, rock/metal is dead. All the good stuff they could come up with is already released. The genre has given everything it has to offer and now we are just keeping it alive via life support. Time to unplug the machine, if the music is uninspired trash it is uninspired trash.

This is not remotely true. Rock and Metal are hugely active, and highly varied.
