Back in the college dorms, when itunes let you listen to other people's libraries on the same network (basically the whole building), there was of course software that allowed you to download it as well. And every itunes update made it stop working, until the next update of the download software. God, so much music

It's dull in the sense of not going anywhere. Too many soft, ballad-like tunes, and it's too plain. Yes, you have Get Lucky, but it doesn't cut it for me.
I'd rather listen to 'Emotion' 50 times in a row than another second of R.A.M.
All other Daft Punk records are golden in their own way, including the TRON soundtrack. R.A.M. is just the black sheep of the family.

i still can't get over how complicated it was to transfer music to my ex's ipod. one accidental slip up and you could accidentally delete everything from the ipod when it has to do its synching process. i wanted to throw that thing against the wall so many times.

Reply to Our research shows that musicians prefer to listen to music at higher levels than non-musicians by Upstairs_Location_26
We had such a cultural clash on this recently. My parents are getting older such that we shifted from them always wanting to drive separately locally when they visit to riding in my back seat.
It seems that, my parents just sit in a car and talk non stop. My wife, kid, and I were all like, you’re talking over the music.,,,wtf?!

When the iPod hit it wasn't long before Senuti (iTunes spelled backwards) was available. It was software you could put on your computer which allowed you to grab music from another iPod and upload it to your library then put on yours.
So you could rip all your CDs, but then swap iPods with your friends to grab the stuff they had which you didn't & vice versa.

Soundtracks. Soundtracks. SOUNDTRACKS. Highly recommend for a nice chill. Just think of your favorite movies that make your heart feel all warm and comforted and look up that soundtrack. It's helped and helps me immensely. It's nice to put on in the background while at work without having the need to sing along. A hum, yes, but you can still work through that XD! My GO-TOS lately: Bladerunner 2049, Westworld, and the 1990's The Crow Soundtrack.

I love the blues. The sadder the better. It energizes me it awakens my soul. I feel alive, like my feelings matter. In my daily life it's like my feelings, my beliefs don't matter. Finally, I feel alive. It's like a shock or snapping a rubber band on your wrist to bring you back to reality. Is it the truth, my feelings? Or is it what mask I must pull over my emotions whenever I leave the house or talk to some one on phone or online.

Nah, everyone had 60,000 CDs they needed to digitise at the time.
It wasn't remotely related to the completely coincidental rise of peer to peer file sharing, which happened at exactly the same time.

Yes and I also purchased a lot of iTunes songs back then too. Now I don't purchase music unless it's a LP and even when they offer free download of the album or an extra song I'm always like 'not worth it'

if you want something sad listen to the song "six degrees of inner turbulence" by dream theater, it lasts 40 minutes and talks about 6 mental disorders. It is the second disc of the album. The entire album lasts 1 hour and a half.

See mf that's the issue.
Lil Yachty new album is nothing like what your thinking of. It's not even rap it's alternative rock. People just see lil in a artist name and if itsnt followed by Wayne it's automatically bad
