It's kinda like the chicken and the egg, maybe the iPod helped make piracy more popular?

What you just sit in silence everytime you drive? You're the weird ones, your parents are the normal ones.

I'm blaming the drummer.

My ipod had like 4000 songs on it, all of them pirated.
So yes. I don't know anyone who wasn't pirating the majority of their music in those days.

Definitely.
I remember being so excited about limewire when I found out that excisted when I was quite young. I fully understand problems with it and I'm happy things have changed quite a lot from that. I have also been working in the music industry for a while now so that gives a lot perspective to the way I used to think when I was younger and didn't understand how things work.

Wide open space is excellent but I've heard it a lot. One of my favourites off the first record is mansuns only love song. There's a lot of good syths used on that album. Also Chad was a fantastic guitarist for the band. They could have done so much more if they hadn't imploded. The fourth album was going back to the style of the first. Such a shame.

I’m no musician, I just play guitar, but I’m always careful with my hearing. I try not to have my guitar volume up real loud and limit my use of overdrive with my amp cuz I’m afraid of deafening myself and never being able to listen to music again.

Any idea what sort of genre? Looks like it could be Motown or doo-wop. Probably wrong but my first thought was something like Runaround Sue, when the backing vocals kick in

If you are looking to reduce your time listening to twats:
Lot of bands have been inspired be the Smiths and, imo, improved upon their sound. Also none of the bands on that playlist are fronted by twats (as far as I know).
