Reply to Is there anything better than finding a new band you love and realizing they have multiple albums? by AdChance7743
I suppose the flipside is the amount of times I've discovered a new artist who passed away or lived a tragic life. Still love discovering a discography, but it's more like a Christmas after a family member died -- tinged with sadness.

Go to youtube music and type in the lumineers. Then play "Radio". Or go to Bandlab and look there. Also, look up royalty free music on Google.

Hot fuss by the killers, well basically anything by the killers. They are so….so…. Idk how to explain it but they just are the feeling of missing a place you’ve never been to

Reply to The guys I jam with are trash and never want to play, how do I replace them? by TheGoldenFence_747
Find new musicians and move on.
From my experience, I always stay buds but I start jamming with other peeps. If theyre your legit friends, they wont get butthurt. If they get upset, move on.
One of my biggest mistakes was waiting for other people . You have to go out and find musicians that are on the same wave length as you.
Starting a band is starting a relationship. You gotta make sure there’s chemistry and desire to want the same thing

And the flute. Did it have jazz flute wackiness, like anchor man’s playing? Or was it steady? Pastoral? Breathy? Semi-classical? Lots of hard consonant sounds or high chirpy bits?

I'll throw in a vote for The Kinks' original of "You Really Got Me". I like the Van Halen version but when I compare it to The Kinks, I think they're overdoing it a bit.

If you can, get ahold of the latest Beatles documentary "Get Back" and watch how Paul McCartney and John Lennon wrote a song. There's so much trial and error. Even if they don't have lyrics, they substitute other words until they find something that rhymes/makes sense/fits the space.
