Totally wrong on Combat Rock. Every song is a complete jammer, barring Overpowered By Funk. That one I will always skip. It’s got such a vibe production wise. Unlike any other record. Sandinista to me is the lead up to their swan song masterpiece. Both are great, but the tightness of CR wins out for me. Plus it has Straight to Hell and Ghetto Defendant on it, just such mood pieces

I'm not the best person to answer this as I am in a similar situation. I have recently started writing and recording my own music during COVID.. I just kept working on my voice and I can tell a huge difference between my first recording and my latest recording. It takes time and energy and practice. I still wouldn't say I have the greatest voice but I'm a lot more confident in my voice and I feel like that's mostly what it takes. Just keep working and practicing on your vocals. Also if that means taking lessons take the lessons! I really want to just to fix my tone.

That's what I said. It isn't solving every problem. But a lot of times it's directing. I feel like people forget the days of 3 connecting calls before getting an answer. Having to explain at each point the problem before taking to a new person.

A good system directs to who can help. Unless the question is where can I find x on your site or what time is this place open. A lot of good systems seem like exactly that. "Hello how can I help you? Blah blah blah. Oh, that is taken care of by this department. Let me get someone in that dept for you so you can get this resolved as quickly as possible."

The system on our site has a greater than 80 percent ticket closing rate because most questions are things like how long does it usually take to ship an item. How do I change my email etc.

Go listen to Pavement, our Lady peace, spacehog, literally every post hardcore/emo/pop punk band and you will have your answer. Rock bands with conventionally "good" singers are in the minority honestly. David Lee Roth couldn't hit the right note with a shotgun at point blank, but he's one of the greatest front men of all time. It's all about confidence and swagger.

I would take lessons if I were you. You clearly have something to offer, it would help your confidence and at any rate lessons will help you improve. Don't trust randoms. They may have no ear for sound, just be ignorant or actively trying to crush your dreams for whatever reason. Having lessons won't mean you have to change how you sing in your band anyway, so I wouldn't worry about that. Go do the thing.

Goliath by The Mars Volta. They did such a great job at lyrically illustrating a malevolent entity on that whole album, but Goliath definitely stands out as do a few others from that album.

Because like 95% of peoples questions can be resolved by looking at keywords and giving predetermined responses or providing a path to a person who can help. Like this query should have sent the person to a support line with the ability to change tickets, but if the person wanted a refund that might be a different support staff. They work really well if they are used to answer 100% factual queries or like a fancy operator to connect the customer to a person.

You just need it to resolve, redirect or shortcut to a general help line quickly. Its when they get too fancy with the bots that problems occur.

It may not be obvious, but the musicians are constantly looking at the conductor. Many many quick peeks in between reading music. Playing in a orchestra requires a high level of multi tasking. My college director would often give subtle volume instructions if i were playing to loud, or needed to play louder. Eyes always met because everyone is always looking at him. Conductor has that position at the front of the performers, he can hear the ensemble's sound as a whole. And he's elevated so everyone can see him easily.
