I would recommend Alkaline && The summoning. Just so you could see the musical range they have.

I don’t think so, which song would you recommend?

It's an interesting one, they definitely deserve a similar status imo, although you named some bands that were basically torchbearers for a whole movement, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Pink Floyd, The Who to perhaps a lesser extent, but happy to be corrected.
There's no doubt about Blackmore's ability and he should be in the conversation but the more mainstream names are always going to be mentioned more as years go by and new people discover the old bands, thdy usually start with the names they recognise.
Saying that though, never mind Smoke on the water, Highway Star and Black Knight should be essential listening for any budding rock fan!

I love their cover of Oasis - Don't look back in anger.

If you don't know who engineered it, who produced it, or where it was recorded, how could you ever become a great artist too? Liner notes are clues to the path of success.

In my life sleeve notes have never left. If I’m interested enough in the music I probably have a physical copy which means I can look through the notes or art or whatever they decided to put in there. Love it

It isn't as easy as you think. Richie Blackmore demonstrates people play it this way, which is not correct. It's played in fourths, not power chords.

Yeah they do. I’m glad they are doing a great thing by showcasing indigenous rights but they’ve conformed their sound for the sake of commercial success. Good for them I guess but none of their latest work has compared to their run from ‘05 to ‘11. That was interesting stuff. Once they did the Jäegermeister tour they went from producing interesting albums to pretty generic, single focused tracks which is hard to disagree with the success, but I followed them closely from ‘08 - ‘11 and they just aren’t the same. I know I’m acting an asshole for saying they sold out and I hate fans who do that, it’s just that the Jäegermeister sponsorship and subsequent albums were gross. Rebel for kicks got old after two weeks only because of the amount it was played yet we were beaten over the head with it for over a year.

Reply to How do I get my omnidirectional microphone to not pick up the drums/guitar but only the vocals? by turd-boi420
The only way is to stop the sound waves from other instruments reaching the mic. You can help a little by putting something between the mic and instruments to create some level of isolation. Or move the singer and mic to another room. Or record the vocals after the fact while there are no instruments playing in the room. Or use a cardioid mic. Omni picks up sound equally from all sides. Cardioid will only pick up from one direction.

Omni can be great for vocals just not while there is other stuff happening in the room.

Quite the opposite. I'm only barely interested to even know song titles anymore.

Their sound is too diverse. ‘Hush’ and ‘Highway Star’ sound like two completely different bands.
